solarVis was founded in 2019 by Samet Yıldırım and Enes Karahançer, two electrical engineers, out of Ankara, Turkey. With humble beginnings offering engineering services, Samet and Enes saw the declining prices of solar capacity and how profitable switching to solar was becoming.

However, there was one small problem. The regulatory framework of the time had tons of nuances and intricacies which home and business owners found difficult to understand, leading to slow adoption. Samet and Enes wanted to fix that.
They began building a feasibility calculator in 2020 and further developed it, eventually starting to offer it to small installers as a lead generation tool from 2021 onwards. Users of the tool found that showing end customers how profitable solar can be instills a sense of confidence and control in the end user, which translates into higher conversion rates.
Soon enough, banks and manufacturers caught wind of what our founders were up to. With a bit of repurposing, the loan, sales hub and insurance models were born, propelling solarVis’s customer base into the big leagues and making it a trusted partner for some of the leading players in Turkey.
In 2023, we got our first outside investors to help us go global. Today, solarVis is the largest provider of software solutions for the solar industry in Turkey. We have a customer base across 3 continents and we’re here to help solar companies lead the solar revolution, one project at a time.
