What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also treat similar technologies (localStorage, pixels) the same way for the purposes of this policy.
First-party cookies are set directly by solarVis. Third-party cookies are set by services we embed (for example Google or HubSpot).
Why we use cookies
We use cookies to keep this site running, remember your language and theme, measure how the site is used in aggregate, and run targeted measurement of our ads where you allow it.
The four categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for the site to function: routing, language preference, security, and your consent record. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics. Help us understand how visitors use solarVis so we can improve product pages, performance, and content. Aggregate only.
- Marketing. Allow us to measure ad campaigns, show relevant content, and load embedded forms (HubSpot). Includes Google Ads and conversion tracking.
- Preferences. Remember settings such as theme and locale across visits.

Legal basis
For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, non-essential cookies are placed only after your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy Directive). In Germany this is implemented by §25 TTDSG / DDG.
For visitors in Türkiye, we follow the KVKK (Law No. 6698) and Law No. 6563. Non-essential cookies require your explicit consent.
For visitors in South Africa, we follow POPIA. Non-essential processing requires your consent.
For other regions, we still ask for consent and respect Global Privacy Control signals.
Google Consent Mode V2 (advanced)
We pass your consent state to Google before any tag fires. When you consent, full measurement applies. When you decline, Google only receives anonymised, cookieless pings used to model aggregate metrics. No personal identifiers are stored or shared.
Third-party services
Google: Analytics and Ads measurement via Google Tag Manager. We run Google Consent Mode V2 in advanced mode so even when you opt out we receive cookieless pings used for aggregate, non-identifying modeling. We enable ads_data_redaction so click identifiers are redacted when consent is denied.
HubSpot: Embedded contact and newsletter forms. The HubSpot script and its hubspotutk cookie are loaded only after marketing consent. If you decline, you can still email us.
How to manage your preferences
You can change your choice at any time. Clearing your cookies will reset the preference and we will ask again on your next visit.
Changes to this policy
If we add a cookie category we will re-prompt you. We bump the schema version of the consent cookie so your previous choice is not silently extended to new processing.
